LET THE CLIENT BEWARE
It has come to my attention that a number of mental health practitioners have been advertising themselves as, or presenting themselves as, proficient providers of the Turning Points For Families intervention on the basis that they have received some training from me. This elementary training may have included some foundational principles of family systems therapy and/or training on the memorabilia intervention--and nothing more. This elementary training, therefore, does not prepare anyone to independently provide the TPFF intervention. What is particularly unsettling about these unauthorized and misleading representations is that the degree and licensing requirements for many of these practitioners did not make the family the focus of their education, training, and internships.
I have approved the following two mental health clinicians to independently provide the TPFF intervention: Loretta Maase, MA, LPC of Texas, and Caitlin Burgess, LMFT, JD of California.

CAVEAT
Caveat:The information on this website is intended for alienated parents and for professionals who do not specialize in parental alienation—otherwise known as the unreasonable/unjustifiable child rejection of a parent at the orchestration or passive support by the other parent/parental figure. Much of this information does not apply to specialists in alienation, who can arrive at findings /or provide treatment in a much swifter and accurate manner due to their experience with and pattern recognition of alienation. Furthermore, because this field is exploding with ongoing research and clinical literature that document the wide-spread, scientific recognition of the family dynamic labeled alienation, some of this information may have been modified by current thinking. Finally, while there are common factors that unite all cases of alienation, every case is nonetheless idiosyncratic, so not all of this generic information will apply exactly to your individual situation. As always, you must use this information in conjunction with counsel by your attorney and by your alienation consultant.
